Rag Doll

ah! Little Rag Doll
Picked up and thrown back
Some may think you disposable
But I know you were important
To someone somewhere
Memories are fickle
And they be buried deep.
The hole that was you button eye
Cannot weep,
But I hear you sigh
From the mouth that is stitched up
Curling into a sad smile.
Don’t you mind
One day another will find
And play with you again.
Clean you up
Dress you in brand new clothes
Take you to tea
And put you to sleep
Don’t you worry,
You will see
Googly eyes will replace the buttons
and you will be loved again.
